Bortnikoff Tabac Dore Extrait
Description
Tabac Doré ("golden tobacco"), created by Dmitry Bortnikoff and launched in 2021, is Bortnikoff's ode to the oriental night. It's built around a rare tobacco absolute whose 300+ natural components unfold into something layered and comforting, meeting a dark, potent blend of wild oud from Thailand and Vietnam, distilled in-house. Vanilla, resins, and precious balsams soften the union of smoke and wood into an enveloping, noble finish.
Scent Character
Oriental-vanilla with a tobacco-oud core: a musky, sweet ambrette-vanilla opening, a warm tobacco-cinnamon-fig heart, and a genuine Thai and Vietnamese oud base rounded out with cedar and sandalwood.

FAQ
Is the oud real?
Yes — genuine Thai and Vietnamese agarwood anchor the base.
Is it unisex?
Yes.
Does it smell like a cigar or pipe tobacco?
It's closer to a sweet, absolute-grade tobacco leaf than smoke — the actual smokiness comes from the oud and resins in the base.
What's the difference between the Extrait and the Attar?
Both share the same fragrance oil; the attar is an oil-based, alcohol-free format, while the extrait is the standard alcohol-based format.
